Cross Government Collaboration

MSDO actively promotes municipal interests at the Public Sector Service Delivery Council which consists of federal, provincial and municipal governments across Canada.

MSDO participates on an inter jurisdictional Council called the Public Sector Service Delivery Council. This is a group of government organizations at the municipal, provincial and federal level. The Objectives of the PSSDC are to:

  • Champion initiatives that positively influence effective, cost-efficient citizen-centred service delivery within and between jurisdictions where possible
  • Share information and insight; build a knowledge bank and networks, including communities of practice that focus on strategic action to enhance service delivery for citizens and business clients
  • Foster strong inter-jurisdictional relationships among the three orders of government
  • Build partnerships with service delivery-related organizations such as the Shared Services Council, the Public Service Commissioners, the Municipal Service Delivery Officials and others
  • Sustain a strong collaborative relationship with the Public Sector Chief Information Officer Council (PSCIOC) to further the service delivery improvement agenda.

More information on the PSSDC can be found on the Institute for Citizen Centred Service website.

Current Collaboration Opportunities

From time to time, MSDO receives requests from other government agencies for municipal input on various issues. Current opportunities are listed below:

Government of Saskatchewan Request

The Government of Saskatchewan is putting together a Power Platform service offering and working on a low-code/no-code policy to guide Ministry clients use of the tools.

As part of the analysis for this initiative, we’d like to understand how other jurisdictions are handling aspects of management for the platform. Your help is greatly appreciated.

A response file with questions is attached. Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond to this request.

We would appreciate it if you could send your responses directly to Jennifer Block at jennifer.block@gov.sk.ca by April 8th, 2025.

We will share the findings with PSSDC members.

If you have any questions, you can contact jennifer.block@gov.sk.ca

Thank you for your collaboration.
