Cross Government Collaboration
MSDO actively promotes municipal interests at the Public Sector Service Delivery Council which consists of federal, provincial and municipal governments across Canada.
MSDO participates on an inter jurisdictional Council called the Public Sector Service Delivery Council. This is a group of government organizations at the municipal, provincial and federal level. The Objectives of the PSSDC are to:
- Champion initiatives that positively influence effective, cost-efficient citizen-centred service delivery within and between jurisdictions where possible
- Share information and insight; build a knowledge bank and networks including communities of practice that focus on strategic action to enhance service delivery for citizens and business clients
- Foster strong inter-jurisdictional relationships among the three orders of government
- Build partnerships with service delivery-related organizations such as the Shared Services Council, the Public Service Commissioners, the Municipal Service Delivery Officials and others
- Sustain a strong collaborative relationship with the Public Sector Chief Information Officer Council (PSCIOC) to further the service delivery improvement agenda.
More information on the PSSDC can be found on the Institute for Citizen Centred Service website.
